Sababurg Castle, located in the Reinhardswald forest near Hofgeismar, Germany, is famously known as the “Sleeping Beauty Castle” (Dornröschenschloss) on the German Fairy Tale Route. Built around 1334, this 14th-century ruin was associated with the fairytale because of the dense, thorny hedge that once surrounded it.
